I have 'em too :-)
Lou, tell that person that Virinia, in the past several years has had 2 seasons, Summer and Winter. It's either too hot or too cold. We haven't had a decent spring or fall to notice.

Speaking of cookies...
...I'm going to bake some M&M ones tonight...I figure, since I was down 2.4 pounds at my meeting today, I should eat the cookies NOW <g> rather than later in the week. LOL
Oh, and BOOOOO to no sleep.

{{{{{Lou}}}}} It rained here last night, too, but only about a tenth of an inch. Doesn't that qualify as "trailing edge?

I can sympathize with your insomnia. It took me forever to get to sleep last night. I already had insomnia going, then Ozzy went on one of his over-affectionate sprees and needed to knead my belly about the time I was ready to fall asleep. I got up and smoked a cigarette and watched Leno's monologue, which comes on at 11:35 out here. Then I tried the ocean sounds CD, which must have finally worked - I don't remember it ending.
I was wiped out at work today, and to top it off, my truck was acting like it had a stuck choke on the way in, so I got there with my heart pounding. When I told my boss, and he offered to come listen to it, OF COURSE it purred like a kitten! I think it doesn't like the rain any more than I do. It's rather ridiculous when your vehicles take on your neuroses!
{{{{{Les}}}}} WTG on losing the weight! I'm slowly losing some on the "cigarette diet" but I don't feel that good about it. Guess I'll quit cigs yet *again* after my former boytoy's wedding next month - it's pretty futile to try until then.
They're pitching a big fit out here because there aren't great throngs of people at the new Disney California Adventure. Someone on the news said they didn't understand why. Maybe because it's been generally COLD and RAINY since the place opened??? Ya think?
Oh, hey, I feel quite priviledged - I heard the sonic boom from the Space Shuttle today! It's the first time I've ever heard it. I was watching the lead-up to the landing on the internet (it was just at the tail-end of lunch hour) and listening on the radio, and shortly after they reminded everyone there'd be a double sonic boom, I heard it. I know, I'm easily amused.
{{{{{Friends}}}}} |
