Chocolat is one of my favorites, even though Johnny Depp doesn't have a large role in it. It's a great script.

Another great movie is "Picnic at Hanging Rock." I don't like the directors cut as well as the original but the movie has a different feel about it. If you liked Chocolat, Picnic at Hanging Rock is one you would also enjoy.

This may sound strange, but I'd love to have a rainy day, with no one else in the house (okay, maybe my "better half") and veg out with a ton of good movies on the VCR.

That doesn't sound strange at all. Delightful!

I just saw 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. It's sweet and entertaining, if you like those two. I DO!

It'd be a perfect rainy afternoon flick.

I have Secret Window waiting for me now. I don't think I'd watch that one alone. eek!

ooooohhhh that one looks SCARY cod!!! We have 50 first dates - it is definately a good "light" movie!!

We've been watching some old movies lately - we watched Private Benjamin this weekend... I really liked that movie! LOL! I could still recite words from watching it as a kid!

I liked 50 First Dates too! Not quite as much as The Wedding Singer, but it was sweet.

I would love to see Secret Window, but I scare easily. You'll have to be the test case Cod! I'm anxious to hear what you think.

rjsfeminist... there is nothing better than a rainy day with a bunch of movies. And, for those times when it isn't raining, just close the curtains and pretend.<g>

PBS... I've been rewatching some movies as well. I think the stresses of life make us seek out happier times... or simpler times.... or times when Bill was president.<g> I recently rewatched <I>When Harry Met Sally</I>. Such a great movie!

Hi Cod,PBS and Addie! I have seen the Secret Window and it's a good movie. I have watched Gothika and Cheaper By The Dozen in the last few days. They were both good. If you like scary movies,Gothika is a good one to see also.

I borrowed Home Alone from the library a few days ago. Very unrealistic in many ways, but goofy cute. (As was Home Alone 2.) I'll probably put Sister Act on the VCR tonight...

Oh I liked Home Alone 1 and 2.. I agree unrealistic ( don't you wish you could pull some of those stunts with some people)
Also with Sister Act 1and 2 loved them. (sheesh none of the nuns I had in school were that cool.. as I glance at my nuckles)(sigh)

My daughter had the movie "50 First Dates" loved it. "Wedding Singer was good too.

Sappy, Happy love stories are my favorites along with Kids movies..

All time Disney fav are Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp,( that spaghetti scene was true love (G)) Oh and The Wizard of Oz.... ( Could use a Glinda in my life )

Oh and this "It's a Great Life"
and what would it be without "A Charley Brown's Christmas"

Want to hear the Chipmunks singing ...
"Christmas, Christmas time is here,, time for joy and time for cheer,,,( hear the squeeky voice lol) Alvin!!

I've done it again. Haven't I?? Tells myself.. Self shush!!!!

After that post, I probably should not mention the fact that I saw Kill Bill 2 last night.

Please know that this one was not MY pick. I have to admit though, I think Tarantino is "bloody" brilliant.

WARNING: I am not recommending this movie to any of you!!

The house in Home Alone belonged to one of my old bosses.

Yep! They built a lot of facades inside for the movie. False walls and such. He got paid a hefty sum for the use of the house...which he didn't need! LOL
