(((crazymomma))) I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
As far as whether or not to go to the bereavement group, wait until the time comes to decide... Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Be good to yourself, (((crazymomma))). |

Crazymomma so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. There is a poem a friend of mine sent me, after my mother passed away. Thought I would share it:
I Said A Prayer For You Today I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart Although he spoke not a word. I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind) I asked for priceless treasures rare Of a more lasting kind. I prayed that he'd be near to you At the start of each new day To grant you health and blessings fair, And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small But that you'd know his loving care I prayed the most of all. |

My head is so full and my heart feels like it has a giant hole in it. Daccie I miss Self too. she was a wonderful person. I have to tell you my Dad has been gone 16 years and I still cry on special days and when I hear some songs. Take care of that little one and remember how quickly they grow up and go away.

((((((((((( crazymomma ))))))))), So very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. If it's possible go to a bereavement group. They help a lot. I didn't have the opportunity to go to one.. but know people that have. It's helped them a lot.
(((((((((( you & your family ))))))))))))

Crazymomma, what Irish said. I went to a bereavement group through Hospice after SO died and it helped immensely. The group lasted 6 weeks, IIRC. First week, the 5 of us went through 5 or 6 boxes of tissues; by the last one, maybe 1/2 a box.
How are you doing today? |

Stay in touch with your friends & family. One that you are close with that will listen. Find something you like to do. Walking or if you have a hobby put a little more time into it. Whatever you do hang in there. If you find someself getting to sad try & think of happy times, fun times you've had together. (((((((((((( hugs))))))))))))))))).

Thank you all so much. HUGE HUGGS to each of you. I just finishes a 6 week bereavement group it did help. But I think what was the best help was after the service my aunt walked up to me and said" Mary, you did a beautiful job! It was wonderful. You did want no one thought could be done and your Mom would be so proud of you." Those few words did more for me than anything else.
So, on behalf of myself and my family thank you all for the prayers and warm wishes. That is what makes wow such a wonderful place to come. The love and support here is the best.

I'm so glad your aunt acknowledged what you did. Sometimes that one of the most important steps. You did what you did out of love. She recognized that and let you know. Fantastic. Stay close with your aunt. She sounds like a great lady. Kudos to her. Kudos to you for taking care of things the way you did. ((((((((((( hugs))))))))))

Thanks Irish. I plan to I only have 3 aunts left and 2 live out state. They are all from my dad's family. This Aunt is the one who always did for every one. I should say does for everyone. When her time comes she will be missed bey so many people. I really think I am doing better and it is all thanks to her.

((((((RJ&Stacy)))))) Thank you for your kind words. They helped too. What my aunt did is just one of the reasons I ,like so many in the family , love her so much. She would do anything for anyone. Sometimes I forget to tell her what a wonderful lady she is.

Today is my older daughter's & her hubby's 17 wedding anniversary.
Wishing them 170 more anniversaries. It is also my mom's birthday. Can see her smile, hear her saying. " If you're feeling down. Get dressed, put a little makeup on, & do something nice for yourself." Don't be mopping around. A very strong, gentle hearted woman. My friends loved her as much. Fran's sister called today & sent me an email. MY mom was her Godmother. She remembers running away from home .. to my mother. LOL We lived around the corner from each other. She was bit of a & a bit of a Here's a toast to a great great lady Love you & miss you.
