<b>{{{{{Kathe!!!!}}}}}}</b>

So why are you dreaming about Heath Ledger? I've obviously missed a couple of stories. <g>

Umm, two Heath Ledger movies in a week - my daughter is obsessed. It's kind of scary to find that we share this particular obsession... I'd like to tell myself that I'm too old for this stuff ||grin||

I'm having trouble finding a way to indicate <> now that these boards won't use them. ::: doesn't work reliably, I think it has something to do with the smileys. arrggh!

{{{{{Les}}}}} My mind is empty tonight! I think I need sleep.<p>
{{{{{Kathe}}}}} I think Heath's a cutie, too. I sure don't envy you the nightmares, though! Valerian is the one thing that will assure me strange, vivid, disturbing dreams. If you happen to be taking valerian to sleep, you might try chamomile instead - just a thought.<p>
{{{{{Punky}}}}} Good to see you again!!!<p>
{{{{{Lou}}}}} Being on vacation sounds so heavenly right now!<p>
{{{{{roo}}}}} Saying hi here because I'm too dog-tired to hit any more folders tonight.<p>

(((Punky))) How have you been?

(((Kathe))) I've been having weird dreams all week, and nothing that I can blame them on.

(((LF))) Where are you? How are you? Come and visit for folder!

(((BX))) Did you get some sleep?

Hi {{{{mysterre}}}}

To be honest, I've been a bit overwhelmed with stuff and, although I was reading my folder, I wasn't posting because I was afraid I would miss someone and they'd feel slighted, eh?

So, please, if I miss anyone, I hope you understand!

{{{{{Friends}}}}}

Now, the freaky thing...{{{{{Punky}}}}}!!!! I was thinking about you as I crossed Wacker Drive in Chicago, and I think it was almost the time when you were posting, so there goes my psychic energy again! ;-) So nice to see you! I hope all is well with you, my friend!

{{{{{roo}}}}} I think you were here? ;-) Hi!

{{{{{crayon}}}}} I remember seeing that lovely name. :-)

{{{{{Nova}}}}} Thanks for your good wishes! This place is wonderful.

{{{{{kathe}}}}} I have to reread your dream...and then I'll be back.

{{{{{Moon}}}}} HIYA ;-)

{{{{{Lou}}}}} Hope you're having fun!

{{{{{biker}}}}} Hey there!

And {{{{vickie}}}}, in case you happen by, have you seen Moulin Rouge?

{{{{{Les}}}} Now that's just an odd coincidence. Cool, though.

Aside from general work chaos, which I think everyone has, I'm doing quite well. I'm taking a break from the writing for a bit- not feeling deeply inspired at present, but I'm doing lots of tech writing at work, so I'm probably just written out when I get home. Rick and I just got a place together and we've gotten domestic as anything, to the great amusement of our friends, who laughed when I bought a bread machine and waffle iron instead of Depeche Mode tickets. That's okay. I just won't make them any waffles. <g>

When did the new boards happen? I guess I have been out of the loop for a while.

What are you listening to these days? I thought of you the other day when I went to see Glen Phillips- I suspect you might like his solo stuff if you haven't yet heard it. I actually got to meet him but I was so spastic about it that it's just a tale of shame. My friend and I were dishing about how cute he was on the ticket line and I happened to look up- and the guy walking by me is Glen. I suspect he heard the entire goofy conversation because he had a very amused look on his face, but he was very nice anyway.

Happy weekend!

{{{{{Les}}}}} YAY! It's Friday! Hope that the weekend gives you a chance to relax and/or get caught up - whatever will do you the most good. I'm practically counting the hours until the Wildlife Waystation trip! I don't get out to do that kind of thing often enough these days, so I'm doubly looking forward to this outing. The three of us are all bringing cameras, so we should have pictures galore. I imagine I'll spend enough at the gift shop to make up for getting us all in "free." I'm quite tempted to spend my W. tax rebate on another year of "Contributing" level membership for the Waystation, though the practical part of me may insist I put it all on credit card payments. I think it would be fun to do a charitable thing with the money. It would eventually go back into the economy - 1200 animals require a LOT of food.<p>
{{{{{Myst}}}}} I did finally get caught up on sleep. Whew! It feels so much nicer to be well-rested. Thanks for asking!<p>
{{{{{Punky}}}}} It's so cool to see you back amongst us!<p>
Hope all my {{{{{FolderFriends}}}}} have a great weekend!

(((LF))) It wasn't until I came to your folder just now that I noticed my typo when I posted yesterday...oh well, easy to figure out what I was saying.

I bought a "retro style bowling shirt" the other day, just a plain blue one. I took it to the printing company that's doing my tshirts, they're silk screening my design on the back of it...and they're embroidering "Scooter Girl" on the front for me. I can't wait! <g>

I dropped off my second design on Tuesday, and they had my artwork ready for proofing today. I'm telling you, it's very cool to see your idea come to life, but it's even cooler when you drew it yourself! YAY! This design is more for kids, (although I think it will appeal to adults like Disney does) I actually wrote a story first, and the tshirts go with the story. Sue's after me to fix a few things in the story so that I can submit it to a publisher. The girl that helped me with my first tshirt design will illustrate for me.

Sorry for the exceptionally long post! <g>

(((BX, Roo, crayon, kathe, Moonie, Punky who bought a bread machine & waffle maker instead of Depeche Mode tickets! You go girl))))

{{{{mysterre}}}} I'm anxious to see your design! Do you have it posted somewhere?

{{{{biker}}}} Have a wonderful time at the Waystation!! How can you possibly NOT? ;-)

{{{{Moon}}}} Hey there, friend! But, um, it soi-tainly don't FEEL like June, though, huh.

{{{{Punky}}}} :-) Yay for the waffle iron! ;-)

I looked up Glen Phillips...I confess I didn't recognize the name, although NOW I know who he is. (QUITE cute, btw)

I went to his site, and this is the second part of his bio:

I love our Romatopf clay pot. You soak the thing in water for about ten
minutes and then throw it in the cold oven, turning the heat on right
after. I throw in whatever veggies we have around: eggplant, zucchini
or crookneck squash, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, all rubbed with salt
and olive oil. Then coarsely chop a Spanish onion and a few cloves of
garlic, and mix in some fresh basil, thyme, or herbs de Provence. If
you like fish, throw a fillet of salmon or a light white fish like halibut in
with it all. Then sprinkle with white wine and the juice of a lemon.
Throw the peel in for good measure. A couple of dashes of a hot
sauce are also a fine addition (I like Marie Sharp's habenero sauce).
Place in the oven and turn the heat on to 450 and cook for about
30-45 minutes. We serve it with tortillas or chapati, rice and salsa.
