Well said Elusive. I hope unknown will make that special time for herself too. How horrible for your friend and I am sure it is effecting you as well. You sound like a great friend. Life is so fragile and that's why we need to stop and smell the roses, literally. God speed.

Unknown, I'm not going to give you any advice. I'd just say take one day at a time.

Love is what you make it. If you believe its make believe that's what you will get in return. If you believe love is real, than real love you shall recieve.

Dear unknown-mi, Sincerely hope that you find hope in your life. In your very exsistance. As Jennifer said, one day at a time. One moment at a time. I really believe when one door closes another one opens.. we have to be aware of that opening. Make a list of things that are right in your life. Look around with opened eyes, and an open heart. Try journaling one positive thing a day. One thing that you've accomplished just by being. Good luck I pray that you will find hope, and in hope love.

unknown-ml you're welcome. You sound so depressed. Please talk to someone who will listen to you & perhaps be able to help you face things in your life. You say you're 47, could you be going though "the change". I found that vitamin B12 + helped with the mood swings & depression. Please talk to someone you feel close too. Talking things though does help. It helps put things in order better for you.
As far as dating better to get your emotions in order first, then you'll be ready to take that step with a positive look. Here is a true story a friend of my older sister got married for the 1st time at 60 yrs of age. They just celebrated their 12th aniversary. So things that are good happen at any age. You have to try & look at the positive. Try vit B12+ Hang in there & know we are here.

ml, this earth is for everyone! That includes you. You have a right to be here on this earth just as anyone else. Is there a reason you are not in counselling with a psychiatrist?
You are in a very dark place and men is not the answer. There is something else driving your thoughts. Are you going to just complain about how bad things are, or are you willing to get to a psychiatrist who may be able to help lighten the load a bit..... This place can only listen and add our own very personal thoughts...we cannot help you in the way you need help. If you don't want help then why are you here? I think you want someone to reach out and help. I also think you need to reach out to receive the help. You have choices unless of course you are locked inside a cave. You have choices. |

i am seeing a pyhcologist and i am on anti-depressants. getting married for the first time at age 60 just does not happen. and talking to the pyhcologist is not solving anything. a man and a family is all i ever wanted in life. i wish i could see the positive but all i see is negative in my life. i am being punished for something, i just dont know what. thank you all for the talks.
