(((Les))) Why thank you! I've never roasted a leg of lamb, just the crown rib roasts. The rosemary is excellent seasoning.

I am into "Six Feet Under."

I don't get HBO, but the Sundance Channel is very cool, I agree.

Wish I got the Independent Film Network, though, because it sucks that Bravo shows commercials now.

Lou...it seems to broadcast independent films. Not sure if they're all from the Sundance Festival, however.

We started getting it once we switched to digital cable service.

We were watching it one afternoon when they showed "The Election," with Matthew Broderick. I only had it on for a few minutes while I was trying to figure out which movie it was. Imagine our chagrin when a teenage girl yells out "she's a (c-word)" and Rick and I both looked at each other in shock. There are some words you just don't need your 8-year old to hear, you know?

QUESTION:
What is the Sundance Channel?

ANSWER:
Under the creative direction of Robert Redford, Sundance Channel brings television viewers daring and engaging feature films, shorts, documentaries, world cinema and animation, shown uncut and with no commercials. Through its original programs, Sundance Channel connects viewers with filmmakers, the creative process, and the world of independent film. Launched in 1996, Sundance Channel is a venture between Robert Redford, Showtime Networks Inc., and Universal Studios. Sundance Channel operates independently of the non-profit Sundance Institute and the Sundance Film Festival, but shares the overall Sundance mission of supporting independent artists and providing them with wider opportunities to present their work to audiences. Sundance Channel's website address is http://www.sundancechannel.com.

QUESTION:
On the Sundance Channel, do you only show films that were at Sundance Film Festival?

ANSWER:
No. Although we do show many films that also appeared at the festival, being part of the festival is in no way a requirement for being selected to appear on the Sundance Channel.

QUESTION:
How do I get Sundance Channel?

ANSWER:
Sundance Channel is available via satellite television and cable television. To find out if your provider offers Sundance Channel, call:
(800) SUN-FILM
(800) 786-3456
If your preferred provider does offer Sundance Channel, you'll be transferred directly to your local cable or satellite representative who will take your order. If your preferred provider doesn't offer Sundance Channel, we'd appreciate you telling your customer service representative you want it right away.

QUESTION:
How can I find out what's playing on the Sundance Channel?

ANSWER:
In some areas, our schedule is listed in the local newspaper grid and/or TV supplement and the regional TV Guide edition. We've also made the complete schedule and detailed programming information available in a variety of other ways.
Web
An interactive, searchable schedule is available. It is updated with next months information approximately the 20th of the month prior.

You can sign up to receive the monthly schedule by email.

Cross post from the Music topic:

Just watched Larry King Live...he had on several guests speaking about Judy Garland. Lorna Luft, her daughter,
Mort Lindsay, Norman Jewison, Mickey Rooney, Ann Miller and Margaret O'Brien.

I love Judy Garland. I used to watch her variety show all by myself when I was a little kid, 7 years old. Loved her!

It was touching to see all these people who loved her and knew her...at the end, half of them were in tears. What a
loss.

Tonight, I made the mistake of turning on The Weakest Link.

Possibly the stupidest, most uninformed group of people I've ever seen on this program. Where do people spend their time?

Is it a sin to pick up a book or a newspaper these days?

Hi Les!

I hate that game show. Hate it.

Last night on HBO--first, a rerun of the very first episode of The Sopranos; then, Sex In The City; THEN, Six Feet Under. I mean, I was 2 1/2 hours <u>into</u> TV. LOL TheMan kept walking halfway down the stairs and saying, "I need to get something to eat, but they say the f-word too much." ROFL

LOL!

On Saturday, I was watching Requiem for a Dream, and every once in a while, Drew would walk past the living room, shielding his eyes and humming. <g>

I loved that movie, BTW, although that may be an inaccurate portrayal of my reaction. One review I read said, "you are supposed to lose yourself in a film, not steel yourself to endure it."

Heh.
