{{{{{Les}}}}} This one will break your heart ;-) if you haven't already heard it: Bill Gates is no longer the richest person in the world. Awwww! <g> <p>
Now it's that Sam Robson Walton, the chairman of Wal-Mart, the destroyer of countless small-town, mom-and-pop businesses. But, I guess I've spent money with them both, so what can I really say?

Repeat after me "I shall buy a mac and eschew Walmart." I remember when they were filthy junk stores in the deep south.
<i>"My dad was in for the duration. When he came home, he was still gone. I was born in my mother's loneliness." </i>That is so powerful ((((((Loou)))))

{{{{{Les}}}}} It's been a spectacularly beautiful day here! You'd almost think I lived in Southern California or something. <g> <p>
Sean is already tantalizing me with tentative ideas of an all-nighter friends party on that boat this Saturday night, so I guess I'll have that little hope to sustain me when I get back to work tomorrow. I've been "practicing" Quark today, even though it's no longer a done deal that we're going with Quark. Ug, and my boss may take Wednesday through Friday off, and he deserves it, but he's one of those bosses who is better to have around than not. I'm so fed up with a particular situation at my work that I'm not sure I can keep my mouth shut, and I'd really hate to walk out when he's not there.<p> {{{{{Lou}}}}} I know your job is grim, too. Didn't you say you have just 3 weeks plus finals, then summer? That would be nice - some sort of end in sight, at least. I envy Europeans their more generous vacations. I envy teachers theirs, too, but figure teachers at all levels really do need the time off as well as deserve it. Some days, I get tired of being a working stiff.

(((((roo))))) Thanks.
(((((biker))))) The time off is good, no doubt about it. But we are paid for 10 months of work. If we want that pay to arrive over a 12 month period, we arrange that with payroll. That piper is always lurking, waiting to be paid. (((((Les))))) And Monday is OVER!

{{{{{Les}}}}} Sounds like things are really shaping up with the purchase of the new appliances! The new place sounds so cool!<p>
I can see why Indian tribes let women have their own camp/tent when their periods hit - I'd like a nice comfy teepee about 1 week a month. Now would be nice.
