Ya know, this egg thing could make the old family recipe for homemade ice cream illegal, like moonshine! <g> I loved the waitress in Michigan who CNN interviewed. She said the older customers would continue to insist their eggs be cooked to order, because they'd eaten them that way for 80 years and the Government wasn't going to take that away from them. The only ones she expected to compliantly order the eggs cooked well-done are the paranoid young execs. I don't know why she tickled me, but she did! I'll make my eggs the way I want in the privacy of my own home, that's for sure! ;-)

((((Biker)))) Hmmm... Does Ozmandias like eggs? Indeed this <u>is</u> good weather! Tonight, Mother and I are taking the fathers to Trabuco Oaks.
((((Moonie)))) Happy Fathers Day, Mom!

Hey, good morning everyone! Tom's cooking eggs as we speak. It's over easy here, but of course we always tend to throw caution to the wind! ;-)
(((Lou))) give your Dad a hug for me! This is always kind of a sad day for me. I miss my dad and we also lost a close friend, Mike on this day many years ago. He was outside doing the dad thing, running alongside his 6 year old, teaching him to balance a two wheeler. Moments later he collapsed in the driveway. He was a fit and trim runner too. Had 5 children. I always think of that on Father's Day. But, on a happier note, Tom has ALL the boys here today and he's smiling. :-) (((biker))) is Ozzie a mouser? I have a little guy who lives behind the TV here. He's cute, but he's also chomping on packages of napkins and other such nonsense. <g> Hope you catch your dad today! (((ching))) HI! Wish Tommy a happy dad's day. I bet he got a huge hug from Cory, right? I still need to pack, but I can't wait. I think there might be lots of activities planned. <g> |

((((Moon)))) there's something FISHy going on in here, you and (((Lou))) are just EGGsentric!
Okay, this is very strange...I'm reading the boards, and my speakers are CRANKED when I hear this "weird noise". I'm rather certain it isn't the noise my puter makes when I have new mail, but I check anyways. Nope, no new mail. I then hear it again and figure out it's the doorbell (I know this sounds sxheepish but it NEVER happens). Anyone that knows us, knows that we don't use our front door. I walk around the house, and am introduced to one of my neighbours and her daughter. They have Lupens for me (spelling?) and all I can think of is "Not bloody Lupens!" that Sue is fond of saying from the Monty Python sketch. Talking to them was awkward too, thinking back, the daughter had her bathing suit on and was probably hoping for an invite to use our pool...which we haven't used yet this year. She asked me if I drove one of the scooters parked there, and then asked if I had a partner who drove one too. (DUH, there ARE 2 parked there!) The really weird thing was she asked if "the woman who owns the house still lives here". DUH! Now that I've finished my long winded story, is Vic home yet? She hasn't emailed me in about a week, the noive! (((Ching, bx & roo))))

I got to chat with Vic...yay! Sadly, I won't be at Cooking Chat tomorrow, or next Monday as I have to work until 3:00 a.m.! How ungodly is that?

(((((myst))))) That neighbor story sort of spooks me. Keep that door locked.
(((((Moonie))))) I tell myself often and oftener that the years I have with my parents will all too soon be memories, and that I must spend this precious time well now. When los padres were here last week, they remarked how lucky I am to still have my aprents. Theirs have been gone for many years.
