I'm sure I did, since I just read a whole slew of posts I never saw...these boards confuse me at times, I have to confess. Sorry about that! {{{{{Hugs to all I may have missed}}}}} No harm intended, believe me. We're supposed to be going to a ballgame today, but Rick's brother hasn't called, and he's the one supposedly getting the tickets, so...hopefully we'll hear from him soon? Sheesh. Drew and I took in a ballgame yesterday, which was fun, and then hurried over to the PAC for a play. After that, shopping at Target and Home Depot. It was a busy, but exciting, day. I was up today to see the sunrise...a rare occurrence for me!

Good Sunday Morning, all you Wonderful Women!
Today, I am going to a book fair with three friends. I rarely go anywhere with my friends, though they are good and always invite me. But this week, I decided that I cannot spend my life constantly wrangling my time to get to SD to be with Elsie. I need to slow down, build and love my life here, and accept that Elsie is 100 miles away. My mom says, "Plan to go to SD once a month; that is enough." She is right. And I am so looking forward to today in L.A. (((((Les mysterre roo biker Nova FRIENDS)))))

(((LF))) You are forgiven. I knew there was no harm intended.
Enjoy your ballgame! I'm doing a little happy dance as I type this! We just got approved for our corporate rate for a hotel in Portland, ME, $25/night plus tax, YESSssssssss! We're on vacation as of Tuesday, Thursday or Friday we're going to Halifax for the weekend. Then, we're going to ME from May 8th - May 10th. I hope everyone made note of this, so you're not wondering what happened to me, cause then I'd be just like (((Moonie))) Not that there's anything wrong with being just like Moonie!

I am thinking about things I need to do. Debating the last weekend of ski traffic. I really need to drive up to Vail and scope out the area west of it, State Bridge near Wolcott. Its a lvoely drive and its very sunny out right now. I might take off work wednesday and drive up for less traffic, and try and hook up with my retired doctor pal (she lives west of Vail in Avon.) Hmmmmm decisions, decisions

{{{{{Les}}}}} Hope you got hooked up for the ballgame tickets!<p>
I just got back from the Champions on Ice show. I was very taken with the grace and athleticism live, and the show was put together well. I know you guys will want to know who skated, and I didn't spring for a program, so I will butcher some names for you. <g> Michelle Kwan, Brian Boitano, Nicolle Bobette, Elvis Stroico, Rudy Galindo, Surya Bonoli, Todd someone, Mike someone, then several singles and pairs that I've heard of and seen before on tv but don't know their names. (If I didn't mangle the names, I sure mangled that sentence!) There was no Ilia. :-( It was really a nice show, and my crazy friends had bought 7th row seats, so we were up *very* close to the ice! I took pictures with my cheapy little camera, so I don't know if/how they'll turn out. It finished the roll from the boat a few weeks ago, so hopefully *something* will turn out! I'm not a great photographer, by a long shot!<p> We went to a Marie Callendars for dinner afterwards, and got the worst service imaginable. The food took forever, the orders were wrong, the waitress kept forgetting things, etc. She was new, so we tipped her 20% anyway, even though she didn't deserve it.<p> Both my friend (who lives a couple of miles away) and I had felt something odd just after 7 a.m. this morning. I just looked on the Earthquake website, and sure enough there was a very small quake at 7:07 a.m. centered about 2 miles from our city and quite shallow. Funny how the little ones just rattle your cage and leave you wondering. I wouldn't even have remembered it if my friend hadn't brought it up. But obviously we're fine - we barely even felt it.<p> Well, bedtime for bonzo here. It was a fun day, but still a long one. 'Night everybody! {{{{{Friends}}}}}

I'm skating along after (((biker))) here.
(((Liam))) good morning! Man you are really into baseball, eh? Everyone here (well not HERE, but at my RL home) is excited about the Reds right now. They have some fire at the moment. I remember taking the boys when they were young. I enjoyed it then too. It's cloudy today. They are PRAYING for rain down here this week. I'm saying "thanks a lot!" <g> My grass would like a drink though....sooooo |

I am having fun "tracking" my folks - they're so cute! They're on a month's drive from their miswestern home, up to Canada, then west over the Alaskan Highway to Skagway, then Whitehorse (Alaska), back to Skagway, then a ferry boat ride up the inside passage in which they hope to see glaciers, whales, and lots of dolphins. Then they'll drive back home. They've been checking in with either me or my sister almost every day, and we dutifully summarize the call, particularly the location and some highlights, and pass it along to our brother, my mom's two best friends, and my dad's good friend, all of whom are online. It should be fun to send the folks the whole batch en masse after they get back. They are *loving* the people in Canada, have detoured through National Parks, and have seen elk, a wolf, and some large critters that were either mountain goats or "tall sheep." I think it's so cool that they're having so much fun! I'll also be happy when they're home safely, but so far they're not even halfway done - they haven't hit their westernmost point yet. If anyone is west of Dawson Creek along the way to Skagway, and wants to meet them, let me know. They *love* to meet new people!<p> I am so hoping to take a vacation this year...Hawaii would be soooo nice! If not Hawaii, at least Vegas would be cool. There's a part of me that would like very much to spend a week on a ranch - probably a "dude ranch," so I could ride every day and eat lots of steak and taters.
