Ah, the boyfriend would be pleased...except, it might be rather cold to wear just a ribbon. I think I'll need three bows for extra warmth, if ya know what I mean *G*

Holy Cow! I hit "first unread post" and it took me to June of 2002. Has it really been that long since I was here...?

My last year-an-a-half reads like a soap opera. Briefly:
- got laid off (from a job I hated anyway and would have left as soon as I could) - moved back to Arizona for my husband's job (while he stayed in California to finish a project. It was lots of fun - NOT!) - Tamara didn't want to leave Santa Cruz and ran away. Don't know where she is, haven't heard from her since August of 2002. - Bought a new house, and built a shop for my husband so he has no commute, which is a good thing because he works LONG days. - I was working with him, but the company is running low on cash, so... - I'm looking for a job, with high-tech experience in a low-tech area. I think my resume scares them! I missed y'all. Don't know how this place fell off my map.

I'm sorry to hear about all this...and I hope Tamara is okay. I lost my job in July, and haven't been able to find anything. I think, like you, the resume needs to be revised. I've had a few interviews, but I'm always "overqualified."

Sorry to hear about the job. I'm at a loss how to revise my resume to show that I did *anything*.. and still be low-tech enough for here. I'm a writer, I should be able to figure this out! But maybe it's not just the resume - when I interviewed at the newspaper they were worried that I wouldn't be happy with a part-time, $8/hr job. Well, it's better than NO job... <sigh>
How's Drew doing? He must be getting big... There is good stuff. Kendra has really settled into her new school, likes it, and is doing pretty well. One flaky teacher (6th grade is middle school here and they change classes) but the rest are good. We have a new kitten - that's 4 cats now. When we moved, one of the cats disappeared for 4 days so we went ahead and got another kitten from a friend. Missing cat showed up that very night, and didn't even have the grace to look like he suffered in his exile! My doctor told me in January that some of my symptoms were precursors of diabetes. I went on the Atkins diet, most of the symptoms went away, and as a bonus I lost 50 lbs. It's like learning how to cook all over again, though! I'm happy with the new house (and 4 acres), though closing costs were much higher than expected and for a few days there, we actually had only $50 to our names. It doesn't make job hunting any easier to live 30 miles from town, and that I'd rather just nestle in here and never leave...
