Did I ever tell you this story? A cadet from the academy, an English major, was Sgt of the Guard during a huge ROTC exercise at Campbell. Anyway, when you are on guard, you Challenge and demand a password thusly: "HALT! Who goes there? Stand and be recognized" (at which point you give the challenge and he gives the password... and if they dont know it or don't stand, you shot them with your laser-tag equipped M16).

So he said to the division commander, "HARK! WHO GOES THERE" instead.

Too much Shakespeare can be a bad thing. He had to beat his face (do push ups in the mud) for a very long time
