********** Healing***************
When you are feeling down as we sometimes do.. How do you heal yourself to bring your feelings UP? What do you do to make your healing process work for you? Are you able to laugh at yourself from time to time? When you are facing obstacles ex: health, family, those things life tosses in the mix.. What do you do to make it better for you? Are you able to grieve yet put a smile on and become "Annie"? Come on write what you think, or how you do handle things.

Hm....here goes
When you are feeling down as we sometimes do.. How do you heal yourself to bring your feelings UP?
My reply is: to find a good book since I dont feel like doing much else. Usually a romance novel or one about herbs or the bible. What do you do to make your healing process work for you? My reply is: to rest drink plenty of fluids eat and keep warm while taking meds. Are you able to laugh at yourself from time to time? My reply: Sometimes, yet not always! When you are facing obstacles ex: health, family, those things life tosses in the mix.. What do you do to make it better for you? My reply: Think of the things that I have to do to get out of whatever I am dealing with. To move forward! Are you able to grieve yet put a smile on and become "Annie"? My reply: Not always, yet I strive to do so. Come on write what you think, or how you do handle things. My reply: I do the best given the situation and etc. Yet I am human enough to know I could do better and sometimes I do yet sometimes I don't. So I look for what I can change and live with. What I can do to learn from my mistakes. And accept that somethings just happen and try to get thru them. So have a great day!

Good for you Wolf_Angel, reading a book and thinking of things to make your life better is always positive. Yes, it is sometimes hard to do, but it works out better for all when we can show positive feelings. Most times positive feelings on things gets to be contagious. Don't you think so. As far as being able to laugh at yourself in life it makes you see things in a different perspective. While no one can do that all the time it's important to be able to. Of course these are all the way I feel. Not necessarily the way anyone else feels.
That's the wonderful thing about handling things life tosses our way. We are all unique and whatever way things are handled that make the situation better is the right way for them. For instance I have a friend who hit a certain landmark on her birthday last year. We were not allowed to mention her birthday in any fashion. No cards, cake, birthday dinner nada!!! This year she wants to go out for dinner, have a cake, we can call her etc. It was her way of getting over that hurdle. Choices that are exclusively our own to make. Isn't that a fantastic part of being in this life. So for all you do to handle what life gives you. Make it a palatable salad mix it up and dress it to your liking. Have fun.

Weathering the Weather!!
Weathering the weather whether you are in the rain or the snow. Maybe icey cold. Perhaps sun shine is where you are. If that is so share with the rest of us. With all the crazy weather patterns going on around here, around the world. Then you have the ones who are saying we are being punished for the state of disaray they preceive the world to be in. How foolish that sounds incredulous that they would determine that. Faults move, the earth moves we are constantly revolving it's a fact. So wouldn't it factor in that from time to time changes would take place. To those who blame it on morality or the lack of in their eyes get a grip. Look back though the ages. Things shift around. Dang even our bodies shift as the years come to us. Logic is there really is no logic in the weathering of the weather. Your meteorologist claims it's a guessing game of science with their .. today will be rain, or snow depends on how far up the coast it will travel, and if it meets up with another pattern .. so we have,, will be, however could change, possibility of.. direction of the wind ... cold front meeting a warm front.. Personally I hope it goes out to see the sea!! Weather is weather, whether we like it or not it's still weather happening. Hope you have a good laugh at weathering the weather.

Remembering
I sit here rembembring so many times I looked over at Peggy's face wondering what she was thinking. We would lay together in bed or be cuddling on the couch. I would reach up and touch her face she would smile at me and say I was so beautiful. Hearing her soft voice reminds me how I fell in love with her and I fall in love again. Sometimes she would be sitting in her recliner and I on the couch watching a program out of the blue Peggy would laugh whole heartedly . I gave up asking her what she was laughing at cause I know she was laughing at something I did or said from days before. Peggy had a laugh that was contagious you couldn't help but laugh with her. I walk over to Peggy and look at her face see her so absorbed in thought . I didn't want to bother her . I'd just stand looking at Peggy watching her face change expersions as she was reliving what ever thought she had going on. Before long I'd climb in the recliner with her and we would just hold each other. Sometimes we didn't need words to connect with each other. Standing behind Peggy in her chat chair I would braid her hair in little braids, she would tell me she looked silly but I knew she loved me playing with her hair. We planned our cermeony while I was standing behind her playing with her hair. I teased Peggy about wearing a dress She laughed and said "I love you Shawn but I am going to be in jeans. How do you like me now?" That laugh of hers when she said that spoke more then anything. Then she told me she would be in a nice suit . We then talked of going to "our" hotel and soaking in the hot tub. After we had relaxed for a while we would go to the store and buy one of those pressed logs that was supossed to light easy but never did. We laughed about the first time we went to the cottages in Guerniville and we bought that log. I wanted a fire so much .Peggy tried and gave up. I unwrapped the log a little and dug a little into the wood . Got her lighter and lit it in several places. The log stayed lit and I proclaimed " I am a stubborn femme I get what I want". I guess sometimes I don't always get what I want. I miss you Peggy and know someday we will be reunited and have our commitment ceremony we dreamt of .

You know Minty what you had with Peggy was, will always be special. While I've never had the pleasure of meeting either of you in person, the chats we had on the phone gave me an insight into both of you.
Yes Peggy had a wonderful laugh. Thinking of it makes me laugh. Let me tell you something that I learned from her. Her love for you and Sallvie was so strong. It was a genuine love. Now she would be proud of you getting set to start college classes. Peggy would want you to go forward, She told you so, she told me so. Keep your head up, grieve as you must. Leave your heart open. You know Peggy would want that for you. Take life one step at a time. Remember along with tears there is a lot of laughter in memories. You can celebrate her life, while living yours. She would love that. She loved you and Sallvie enough to want you to live your life the best way you know how. Always remember you have friends who care. Friends that will listen and share your emotions. What you need is not to be be put into a situation you feel uncomfortable with. Doing what you feel comfortable and ok with counts for a lot. Take care of you and Sallvie. Life happens when we are not looking. Hugs for both of you..

Colored Chalk
As she sat on the sidewalk, she dreamed of having a new box of colored chalk. Oh the magic she could make with the many colors. She could transport herself to new places, dream places, places where she would be free. Free to be herself, and not the one expected of her. Blue would take her to Antarctica where she would play with the polar bears, and throw snow at Santa?s elves. Green would take her to the coolest of rain forests where she could become a tiny little leaf growing on a tree. Helping to keep the forest cool, living to help. Red would take her to Spain where she would dress up as a matador and confront the bull. The bull that could no longer hurt her, no matter what form she took. The colors of the rainbow allow her to release. Release the frustrations of the day, the hopes of the future, and the needs of now. The colors give her freedom.

WOW (((((((((((((PBS)))))))))))))))))))) I felt myself transformed to those places. Especially the red, the matador fighting the bull. Great analogy.
