I was saddened today to hear that John Ritter died overnight. He was a real talent, and seemed like such a gentle sweet man.

I felt very sad as well. It was such a shock and he was much too young. Watching interviews I had the same sense you did, that he was a very sweet, gentle and, of course, funny soul. Very sad.

With kids, too, which saddens me. He was one of those funny people who always seemed pleasant (except for the one role he played on Law & Order SVU...yikes).

Did anyone hear David Letterman's announcement of impending parenthood last night? He's MY age. Last night I had a dream. I went to the doctor where they ran tests and said everything was fine, but they were almost positive I was pregnant. LOL

I owe that dream to Dave! EEK

I love David Letterman, I love the Late Show, I loved his announcement, he's so damn funny. Of course, the one actually having the baby isn't "quite" his age.<g>

Most priceless was "the good part is when the kid starts getting in trouble, I'll be dead."

I'm sure his gf is saying..."OH NO YOU WON'T PAL!"

My own brother is 49 and has a two year old. I laugh.
