Managed to pass out candy Halloween night. That was all I could manage after spending 5 hours in the ER. Note to everyone: no falling from ladder at roof-level onto cement driveway. It hurts...

Dayum woman what the heck?!!! I hope you are alright but highly doubt it. Do me and all of us a favor...stay off the ladders to the roofs.

Not to worry, Wolfie. Am healing...My knees were right up against the edge of the roof. Another foot, I would've been on the roof. Ladder shifted and I ended up on the cement driveway. Would you believe that I ended up with NO BROKEN BONES?!?!? My right leg is sore and was majorly black and blue, 3 stitches in my left leg, sore all over, but that was all. Seems to me that someone was watching out for me.

Of course, since then, I've heard several stories about falls from ladders where the person died...Ugh. I'm definitely counting my blessings!

We have no problem with links back to WOW, but do make sure it's ok with the site where you leave it.

We used to have a link exchange program, but the spam got to the point where it wasn't worth the human energy required to maintain it. We were getting literally thousands of link requests a week, and only about 1% of the links were genuine. The other 99% were from people with commercial and financial interests, just trying to exploit our demographic. Now we have to have software and filters running that tracks the links posted on the boards, and strips them if they match known spamming sites, all in an effort to keep WOW free from advertising.

That's probably more of a rant than you wanted, but having certain people continually use this site as a means to recruit guests to other forums or to sell crap is really annoying me today. So, be sure if you leave a link somewhere, it would be welcomed by the publishers on that site, and not annoy them.

Oh wise Sysop you are an awesome one. Considering the fact that some of us have been approached by others that run a different chat site. While I can respect that person's post, I don't appreciate them trying to lure us away from WOW. So stated I hope so noted. Wishing all a great day. I don't think you can be lured if you don't want to be and I also beleive that these sites are not prisons and anyone has the freedom to join whatever they wish...the reason I joined WOW, it was a choice.

Right on, Sister! Irish, I was the one that put another site possibility out there, but it wasn't to lure anyone away - just to give us other options. We can join as many sites as we want, and this is still one of mine.
