My biggest obstacle in working from home was finding a job that worked for me. Working from home is NOT easier. It's much more difficult, especially when you have little ones using you as a jungle gym when you're trying to get work done.

The best thing I did was took some time to really think about what I liked doing, and figured out a way to make money doing that. I guess I'll pop over to the women who write topic and share some more.

Hi!
I work from home too. I love what I do, but you are so right.It is not easier at all. I do a lot of my work on the phone and that always seems to be the time my 4 year old wants all of my attention.
I always make sure I have special time with him throughout the day where I do absolutely no work, and concentarte on him. It helped both of us so much when I started doing this.
We had quality time together, and I got my work done without being interupted.
Now when I know I need to be on the phone I get him set up with play-doh or an art project that doesn't need my constant supervision.So far things are working great!

Oh my goodness! My son is 2 1/2 and at the stage where anytime someone picks up the phone he thinks you are talking to his Grandam. LOL The second is rings he starts yelling "talk gamma! talk gamma!" I usually have to wait until he is napping or occupied with something his dad is doing and sneak downstairs with the cordless.

*crossing fingers, hoping this phone fetish is over SOOON*

I got laid off and now am trying to avoid going back to the office. I have found what seems to be an interesting opportunity to work from home. if any one of you has any ideas for working from home, please let me know, because i am so new to this.

I actually do 2 home business both part time, I'm new at both of them so I'm waiting to see what happens and how successful they will be. I'm very optimistic about the MOM team because of all of the support and training that I get. It is also very fun and easy. It is sometimes hard to juggle especially since I have a 5 year old who I am homeschooling. The best advice - organize, organize, organize your time. I do the MOM team in the morning before she gets up, home school her and other things in the afternoon, gift shop at night. It all works out okay. I came across an interesting opportunity for working at home by telephone or via the Internet. The company even provides free long-distance and leads. They also have a referral program to work just via internet. E-mail me if you want to know more. I am really happy with this little business.

Business opportunities involve companies, some legitimate and some not, that require you to pay a start up fee. They send you materials for you to make money with. These can be as extensive as a kit of products to take door to door to as simple as a one page flier on how to be a professional photographer.

Be sure to go to the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/ but be aware that while a company might be operating legally they still can take advantage of you. A legitimate opportunity will not hide facts from you. If someone can not tell you in thirty words or less what they do for a living, you don't want to be working for them. They will be able to tell you EXACTLY what comes in your start up package, how much it will cost, and the amount of money you will be making.

Often times a business opportunity's rules will prevent someone from sharing their actual salary, but they should have NO PROBLEM explaining rate of pay. Is it commision based? *Most of them are* What percentage do you make, and what is commision made on? Most are between 10 - 30%. At 10% you would need to sell $10,000 in products to make $1000. Then you have to pay income AND self-employment taxes and take money out for expenses.

Some businesses allow you to sell from a variety of product lines, but you can only earn commision on the line you buy a start up kit for. Are they compensated for recruiting? Some businesses require their members to recruit to stay active. Also many businesses require you to purchase a new start up kit every year.

The majority of biz opps are SALES positions. Many revolve around door to door, or home party sales. Some rely heavily on internet traffic. You need to be aware of the laws that apply to these businesses. Does the person trying to recruit you know about the laws in their area? Can they help you with yours? Will support be ongoing or will you be abandoned once you sign your contract?

If you aren't comfortable hitting your friends up to buy things from you, biz opps probably aren't for you. Don't panic! There are MANY things you can do from home that do not require an investment of anything but your time.

I too work with the MOM Team. I have been with them for almost 6 months. I love it! I'm sure you will too. You are right about the support and team work. We've got it!
It sounds like you have also worked out a great system for working around your family. I have always said my family comes first! After all that's why I work from home!

The easiest way to tell what a company is like is to observe its representatives.

I'm going back to school in the Fall *knock on wood* and want to spend the majority of my study time for..well, studying. So I'm looking for a new job. I talked to someone at the job service office and they recommended a loan company. I called, and was told to send in a resume. They are looking for someone to do paperwork, basically filling out the same info on numerous forms. It's a busywork job and probably wont be over a few hundred dollars a month BUT it will pay enough to cover gasoline back and forth to the school. It can also be done AT HOME, any hour of the day or night, but I had to ask about it.

Remember to ask! If you see something that could possibly be done from home check and see. No harm in checking and the employer just might surprise you.

Hello Everyone!!

I just wanted to touch base with all of the Work at home women out there, and let you know how things are going for me in my own, online business.

So far this month I have helped 4 more women achieve their goal of working at home! This is the best part of what I do. Knowing that I am actually helping other ladies stay at home with their families.

Now don't get me wrong, I know that there are plenty of women who work outside their homes and are very successful and who have happy families. That is a personal choice each of us has to make. I just enjoy working at home and helping other women do so!

I run 2 businesses from my home, all while my little one is sleeping. If I worked while she was awake that would befeat the perpuse of me being home. Any way here is my add It goes into what I do alittle more

I MADE OVER $500 MY FIRST WEEK!!! While my little girl sleeps!!!!
No kidding!!!!!! I am an at work home mom of 19 month old little girl, We finger painted, colored, played with her blocks, danced and even played outside for a while. I do this everyday, I have plenty of time to play with my 18 month old little girl. The best thing is I also bring home money while playing with her. I am sure you want to know how I play all day and still make money! I run two different businesses from my home (ahhhh 2 businesses how in the heck do I do any thing else) Well my first business is the M.O.M Team and this is the second. I just added the second and it has taken off like a rocket and all I do is en extra 30mins of posting. I had to get the second till the first takes
off once I get my base with set I am set for life!!! Until then this pays the bills you know what I mean. This is not a get rich quick scam it is real work for real money, You can make $500 a week part time $900 full time, lets be honest and not waist either of our time.
