Quick Mac 'n Cheese
There are more and more of the single serve cups in the market now. Sooner or later, they might get their own isle like the can foods. Do you get the EASY MAC cups for some quick Mac 'n CHeese?

nope... i like the shells and cheese velveeta... or i make it myself in the oven.

I don't think I've had Velveeta anything in a long time. I think the last time I had it, I was kid and the commercial was showing you how to make nachos haha. I should give the cheese and shells a try.

My grandmother told me that when my dad and uncle were kids, she used to make mac and cheese by taking several bottles of cheeze-whiz, warm them up in a pan with boiling water, and then mix it with macaroni. Yum (in, ahem, a cheesy sort of way)!

I agree, PBS. The baked kind is the absolute best. Had the Velveeta and shells a few weeks ago. My late hubby and I used to go to a small restaurant nearby that served just plain homecooked food. They had absolutely wonderful mac and cheese. Funny thing, though...You could always tell which cook had made the mac and cheese on any given day, since each one added their own minor twist to it.

![]() ![]() ![]() It's quite amazing the strides (or perhaps it should be the steps backward) that modern times have made in how we cook and what we cook! My Gran grew up using a wood stove too cook on, and didn't have a microwave until she was already retired! That is quite an adjustment over time... ya know?

I agree PBS I too always made mine using real cheese that I cut up then added it to the pasta of choice for the day added 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and milk mixed it all together and topped it with bread crumbs and a few pats of butter and baked it. Now I live with a bunch that don't like it that way so, it's elbow,velveta,milk and a little butter. heat mix and serve. I miss all the different cheese I use to use.

yep. cook your pasta and drain it.add 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 8oz. package of chopped up colby cheese and 1 8oz. pack of chopped up sharp cheddar cheese. and fill the soup can with milk and add that. mix well cover with bread crumbs and a few pats of butter and cover on low. When you get it home from work it'll be ready. Taste great with a nice tossed salad. yum.
