<FONT COLOR=darkred size=5>Okay, you're stranded on a desert island. Or, facing an indeterminate number of years in that desolate fallout shelter. What ten CDs do you take with you?

Alternately, what are your ten favorite songs of all time?

Can't think of specific albums
(do like the boxed-set idea)

Gershwin (American in Paris for sure)

Tchiakovsky (anything EXCEPT nut cracker)

Any thing with Gloria Estefan (oh, be still my heart)

Melissa Ethridge (her tunes empower me)

that's it for me---I'll travel light going to the deserted island and save room for my toothbrush/paste
(oh, better throw my flyrod in the mix as well-when I'm not fishing with it I can dance with it (I'll have to lead for obvious reasons))

I did this a while ago, but not too recently. Hmmm...at this moment in time...

After the Gold Rush - Neil Young
Boats, Bars, Beaches & Ballads - Jimmy Buffett
Definitely Maybe - Oasis
What's the Story Morning Glory - Oasis
The Ultimate Collection - Four Tops
Never Mind the Bollocks - Sex Pistols
Quadrophenia - The Who
Pills, Thrills & Bellyaches - Happy Mondays
Best of - Judy Garland
White Light, White Heat - Velvet Underground

A good Beatles collection, a good Beach Boys collection...

(This is really hard...)

(Let's all remember to pack our sunblock, BTW...)

It'll be a while before we get down there again.

Have a great time!

This *is* hard!<p>
Led Zeppelin's boxed set, so I have'em all
Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here"
Metallica's "Ride the Lightning"
The "Lost Highway" soundtrack
Danzig's first album, self-titled
Black Sabbath's "Paranoid"
Ozzy Osbourne's "Randy Rhodes Tribute Album"
The Allman Brothers' Greatest Hits
The Eagles' Greatest Hits '71-'75
Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"<p>
Wow, and that just scratches the surface! But it covers the bases for me, if barely - Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, and Eagles for mellow and reflective times, and the harder stuff for more energetic moods.

I would have to add, this week, Pulp's "Different Class" and Belle & Sebastian's "If You're Feeling Sinister"
