A place to ask those questions for which you can not find the answer, in the hope someone else CAN!

Confetti

My 13 yr old daughter asked this tonight and I haven't got a CLUE where to look for the answer.

She would like to know:
How do they get the confetti high up in the air for it to fall on a parade or celebration?

She asked this as we were watching a news report showing the Times Square celebration of New Year's Eve, 1999.

Anyone have the answer or a place to find it? I appreciate any help you might have.

Thanks in advance.

I think they use <A HREF="http://www.aerotechnic.com/cannon12.htm">these</A>, though I'd imagine for the Times Square stuff, they either use a larger one or a whole bunch of them.

Maybe?

Call For Art

{{{{{{{{{{All}}}}}}}}}}

Lifetime television, producers of the one-hour drama "Strong Medicine," is doing an episode in which the main character (who has been raped) attends an anti-sexual violence rally. Lifetime is looking for survivor art to decorate the stage.

If you have survivor art you'd like to submit, please send it to DragonTF at griffre@earthlink.net

File sizes should be large - between 10-15 mb. All art needs to be submitted to me by Friday October 26. (However, the sooner the better. <g>)

I think if you go into "profile" at the top of the screen you'll be able to change your email addy. I don't know if that will affect past posts though.

Hi ladies, I need some help with a recipe.. I got a recipe from Mickeywow for eggdrop soup. I just tried to make it, and it turned out like scrambled mush. Mickey, if your out there, or anyone else, what in the heck did I do wrong. Docs have me eating (if ya can call it eating ) liquids like chicken broth and so forth, but I found out that eggdrop soup does me ok. The people down at the chinese takeout are starting to think I have an eggdrop addiction , so I need to learn how to make the stuff. Mickey gave me good recipe, but I am not doing something right. Like I said, It looked like scrambled egg mush. Can anyone help??? Sure would be much appreciated !!
thanks a bunch,
gal

Egg Drop Soup:

Get Big Pot.
Fill Big Pot with Water.
Get Dozen Eggs.
Drop Eggs, One at a Time, on the Floor.
Invite Dog to Feast.
Go out for Chinese.

Oh my gosh arista. I did that with the exception of dropping eggs on floor. Ringo the rotty loved the mush. rofl Thanks for the laugh. Have missed seeing you in the room. UPS will be knocking on your door with a sample of the soup.
