Do you believe in dream interpretation? Or do you just want to share what's been going on in your head?

This dream really bothered me. I had it a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure out what the heck it means.

I dreamt I was a young woman with a very young child. I think right around 18 months. Halfway through the dream I suddenly remember I have another baby, but my boyfriend's mother has custody. Consumed with trying to get her back, I got into a confrontation with my boyfriend where we break up and I woke up so upset...it took awhile to realize that I have two children and I live with their father. Don't seem to be able to shake him either. *g*

??? Any attempts at figuring this one out would be appreciated. LOL

Hillie, I don't know about your dream, but I had a recurring dream over ten years ago that I know was my subconscious talking to me. I was driving on a long bridge over the ocean, and unknown to me, it had collapsed ahead of me. I ran right off into the very deep water before I knew there was no more bridge there. Sometimes I would wake up sceaming, it was so bad.

At the time of these dreams, I was in a very bad job. The job itself wasn't bad, but the work conditions were. I came to realize later that my mind was trying to tell me I was in over my head.

When I left that job, those dreams stopped completely.

Oh wow wonder. That is creepy, but it's a good thing you know what it is about now.

I've been thinking about it, and I think this dream is about the attachment our daughter is forming with my psuedo-hubby.

They are so close, and I think I'm worrying about being cut out of the picture. Isn't that silly? I've noticed since the dream I've been doing a lot more with her, which really makes me think that was the point of it to begin with.

Well it sounds to me like you both figured out your dreams without anyone elses help. I once dreamed I was at a carnival with my sister and her kids and we had to use a bathroom. There was a line of PortAPots. The one I entered had a hole in the door where you put your face to look out and when I spread my arms and put my hands against the walls it took off. I flew around the carnival grounds. When I leaned to the left it went left, when I leaned to the right it went right, when I leaned forward it soared high. Then I landed and took all the kids for a ride. It was a very fun dream. I hate carnivals and PortAPots. Do I need to reconcile myself to both? Do I just need to come down off of my high falutin' horse and say carnivals and PortAPots are here to stay and deal with that reality? I just don't know.

Well yes Tammy I do like to fly. Although I have never flown without an airplane, I have dreamed of flying many times. I dreamed about flying alot when I was younger. I also dreamed about falling alot when I was younger. I never hit the pavement, at the last minute before splatter, I would either wake up or suddenly avert the ground with some sophisticated maneuver with my arms and soar upwards. My most horrifying dreams, and memorable, are from my younger years also. They always found me partially naked, usually from the waist up, in a public place where everyone else was dressed. I remember these dreams were particularly upsetting because I was so embarrassed that I had somehow left my house and forgotten my blouse and bra. I would go to work topless, go shopping topless, go to church topless, all to the apparant glee of the people around me who would take joy in pointing, snickering and openly laughing at my state of undress. I remember once I was at the Baltimore Museum of Art reading a plaque about the Cone Sisters Collection of Impressionist art when I noticed I was naked from the waist up and everyone was looking at me with apparant horror. Those dreams seemed to stop somewhere at about the age of 40. Why is that? Sagging breasts perhaps? I don't know. I just don't know.

One thing I love about dreams is that you think these ridiculous things and they make perfect sense. Like constantly leaving the house half-naked, or flying around the world in a toilet. LOL

I've only had one naked dream, but it was so silly I'll never forget it. I'd forgotten my underpants at home, and wore this superduper mini-skirt to school. My cousin helped me sort through the lost and found box, and I found an old pair of MY underwear but someone had died them pink so I was too embarrased to put them on. <font size=7>?</font>

I usually show up at school nekkid.. and that usually happens when I feel unprepared for a test or something stressful like that.

For the Johnny-on-the-spot dream.. notice in between two things you really don't like, there's one that you do. Maybe it's telling you to fly high in spite of the sillyness and <S>shi...</S> stuff <g> all around you?

Those showing up naked at school or in public dreams are common anxiety dreams.

What about the one where you have to take an exam, but realize you never went to class? I still have that one once in a while.

I never had the missed a class dream although I woke myself up twice in tears with math anxiety dreams. They were not dreams they were nightmares. I think those were the nights I fell asleep repeating the laws of exponents. ARGHH!!! I once had a dream that I fought a bear and won.
