My dog is definitely one of my children. She is so smart, and understands so much of what you say. If you have anything to say about her it's just like talking about a person in front of them to someone else.She gets very offended.We really love her.
What kind of dogs do you have? Our baby is half Beagle and half Yellow Lab. She looks like a Yellow Lab with Beagle legs.

I have 2 cocker spaniels 1 black (Misha) and 1 blonde (Sasha) whom I adore. We recently got a puppy. A blonde lab mix (Buddy) Its going to be so much fun to have 2 girl dogs and 1 boy dog together, but they are so great!!!! I don't think I will ever get another cat, but I am in the market for a Pekapoo!!! They are sooooo cute!!! However they are very hard to find. 4 dogs...sheesh I'll have to start charging admission because I will have a zoo ROFL

Some of you know I had my old dog put down last November. I still mourn her. I miss her so much. I am looking into getting a new dog though. I want a mutt. A medium-sized female mutt. I am considering adopting an Italian greyhound though. I want a dog I can travel with. Actually, I went to a pet store and played with the puppies...I have to admit: I wanted them all!!!!!!!!

There was a mini-dobie that stole my heart! I adored the golden lab. The little boxer had a classy style that really was appealing. The westie was such a bossy little thing. The mini-dacshund was so tiny and wiggly. They were all adorable.

We have 3 Lhasa Apso's. The eldest is close to 7 years ole. His name is Chase Digs ( he came with the name), 3 year ole Moon Shadow and 2 year ole Dusty. Dusty is Shadow's and Chase's little girl from their first litter ( only litter so far). The first litter had 7 girls. All of which found wonderful homes.

I have a Cocker Spaniel.. blonde.. named Bailey.

She's.. um.. way blonde. <g> She's like a four-legged walking blonde joke.. really! The stories I could tell..

The latest change in Bailey's life is that after 3+ years of living in apartments, we've moved into a house with a fenced yard. For the longest time, I had to walk outside with her because she got confused about the whole leash thing.

Now she's settled where she'll go outside by herself, but we've noticed that she won't walk down the middle of the yard. She has to run along the side, really, really, really close to the fence. She never crosses the middle.

Tammy that is really odd, but you know that animals have sensitivities that humans can never know. I bet something happened in the middle of that yard once. Something strange and scarey BOO!!

We have two dogs. Tooie who manufactures $400.00 tumors all over his skin and Bonnie our 9 month old Scottish Terrier. Tooie is 12 years old and is a shetland sheepdog. We got him when my son was still in diapers and I asked him what are you going to call your puppy? He said Tooie, so thus the name. We got Tooie for Aaron because Aaron would not stay in his new single bed at night (after climbing out of his crib a gazillion times. He always wanted to come into bed with us. I don't blame him. So we thought a puppy would keep him from being lonely at night. It worked. This past August my son and husband saw Bonnie at the Puppy Kitty Nursery that is right next door to their barber shop. They came home and got me and drug me kicking and screaming to the pet shop. I detest housebreaking dogs, really I do. But as soon as I saw Bonnie my heart melted. She is soooo cute. Full of personality and play, she has added 10 years to our older dogs life with her playful antics. Yes I housebroke her, it was not pleasant but it got done and now she is as much a part of our family as Tooie is. We also brought home a kitten (Pixie) the same age as Bonnie so she has someone who will get really rough with her as Tooie will play but he is a very delicate dog and old too.

We have decided to go ahead and let our dogs have another litter. We have at least 4 of the puppies spoken for (grant it she isn't in the family way yet) I can't recall where to found out how often my dog will come into heat. Does anyone have any idea?

By the way I think that on these here boards is the only way I will get to have pet

I wouldn't know what to do with myself if we didn't have our 3 boston terriers. They are the "kids" that will never leave home.

We have the mom "RosieDae" and daughter "Zoe" and "Buddy" better known as GrumpyButt. He is a sporting model. lol

Our females come into heat 2 times a year. ugh cause its difficult, no, impossible to keep their protective panties on. They have no tails. Slip right off. For those times I have extra throws for where they like to lay down. Hey, having animals is not always pretty. They usually come in heat in Feb. and then in August. But it is different for all dogs.. I think.

These dogs snore so loud they can actually shake the floors. So if you like peace and quiet at night this breed is not for you.

Doc I just happened to be watching Court TV last night and saw that...they were saying that his attorneys thought they would let him off with a slap on the wrist..can you believe that folks think that won't warrent hard time.

I was so happy to hear he was going to do time, what a horrible thing to do.

I was looking around on the net and found this story about this golden retriever whose owner put a chain-link collar on her when she was a puppy-- and NEVER EVER loosened it. By the time the animal welfare people got a hold of her, she had a two inch deep wound around her entire neck with the chain collar grown into it. The vet had to use a wrench during the surgery to get it off. The guy got 90 days in jail and a 750 dollar fine. I think he deserves to be covered in peanut butter and thrown to rabid dogs!!!!!!!!!

Musky, you're a woman after my own heart. Although, I'd rather dredge him through meat juices and let the dogs at him! Actually I'd rather hack him up in little pieces, slowly using a dull ax or maybe a butter knife.

Well I have an adorable Bassett Hound puppy. He is all ears. He is 6 months old. The one question I do have is does anyone have a clue as to how to remove the smell of dog urine from the carpets? I have shampooed till I'm blue and I can still smell it.
