Are you a dog lover?
Here's another way to help some the most important members of the Search and Rescue teams at the WTC disaster - the dogs. SAR Dogs are going through supplies such as booties, K9 eye/ ear wash, and Vet Wrap at a rapid clip. Apparently some dogs have been walking through the rubble with burlap tied to their legs and feet and are in great need of booties
and Vet Wrap to protect them. Booties need to be sizes medium and large. Vet Wrap can be in 4" or 2" widths. If you would like to help our furry friends in New York and the Pentagon, please send CLEARLY marked packages identified as RESCUE DOG SUPPLIES to: New York City Offices c/o Search and Response 61 Chambers Street New York, N.Y. 10007

Thanks so much. Yes my puppy is now home and actually starting to get fat. LOL Only problem is that she and her older brother Cubby dont understand why they have to be kept separated. So there is a lot of whining and crying. Cant blame them yet when they do get going it of course grates on your heart strings. Cause you want to do something and knowing its in their best interest not to. UGH! Argh! Otherwise I hope all of you take to heart your animal and love them enough to give their shots. Poor Cubby has to get his next Friday. He is such a big baby. LOL Have a great day! ![]()

((((((((((((((WOLF_ANGEL))))))))))) Glad the puppy is home and re couperating. I used to hate to seperate my cats when they were young. If I took one to the doctor the other would sit in the window and "cry" till the first came back .

Pets are like kids. They get along, and they fight. But Lordy help the person/ or animal that hurts the other. They are protective of those they love. Isn't that a wonderful trait. ![]()

My late Emma had parvo when she was a puppy. She survived, thankfully.
The two I have now, Magpie and Bomar, have had all their shots and see the vet at the drop of a hat when they are acting sick. Maggie is 6 months and Bomar is 7 months. When the two of them crawl up and want to take a nap on top of me, I have about 120 lbs of dog on my 108 lb body. Would I change that? Absolutely not. They are my fur children.

Hope this thread is still somehwhat active. Anybody have experience regarding dogs and cataract surgery? Lucy my maltese is loosing her sight and my Vet doesn't recommend corrective eye surgery. He thinks she (Lucy) will get along just fine using her nose only. I'm really upset and want do do the right thing. Any advice is appreciated.

I wish I could help, Priscilla. I can't though. I understand your frustration and even though the vet is probably right, I know that you wish Lucy could see you. I would feel the same way.
