I've informed people who I thought would be interested by e-mail, yes. Other avenues of advertising are being pursued as well.

I mistakenly thought that since I've been a patron of WOW and the chatrooms for such a long time, I could advertise here. Obviously, I was wrong.

The decision to remove the link was based on the content of the site and only on the content of the site. Whether the site has a disclaimer for that content or how long the poster has been with WOW has no bearing on that decision.

The site contains content that our policy states we do not link to from our boards, from our links page, or anywhere else on our site. There are many, many places to advertise that type of content.. WOW is simply not one of them.

One of the major problems about the internet, possibly the major problem is the proliferation of pornography. During the war in former Yugoslavia, women were raped in concentration camps and those rapes were filmed, and those films are now part of the world collection of "pornography". For all I know you can find some of them on the net.

On porn websites that provide tittilating stories for their readers they include many where the woman is raped and where she is described as enjoying it. When women are protrayed in this way it is dehumanising. Rape too is dehumanising. It denies the most fundamental of human rights - bodily autonomy.

As women, how can we be sure that men don't believe these stories? The notion of rape fantasy is a dangerous one. It sits alongside the idea that rapists do use to justify their actions, the idea that "she wanted it really".

WOW tries to create a place where these old-fashioned stories of rape are not perpetuated.

What might be interesting would be to have a discussion about rape. According to myth all women have fantasies of rape. Do we believe in this? Do we think that it actually happens? If so, why? If not, why is it suggested that we do? Whose interests does that serve?

Quicken has the best online tax program and it's free to file if your income is under $25,000 a year. You can get to the program by going here http://www.quicken.com/freedom/ They also have a refund loan program that allows you to get most of your refund within 2-3 business days. It was much less than H&R Block's

Hi nunzy!

I wouldn't worry any about the size of the rooms, how many guests are in them, or where everyone is. I can tell you that there are times when the rooms are full, not so full, and sometimes, even empty. Why? I believe it's called real life...3D.

We seem to have a lot of west coast folks who chat, so the times the rooms are busiest seem to be around or just after 7 pm eastern time. We're all here. We all still chat. Even a few oldies (not age wise)

have been in the rooms this week! We've even had a few new guests find us from the WOW site.

So if you come in the room nunzy, don't leave, stick around a wait a bit and someones bound to come in!

Dear Sisters

The Sexual Harassment Education Project (SHEP, of which I am a project coordinator is looking to start exchange programmes and partnerships worldwide. SHEP's head office is based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg in South Africa.

It was founded in 1993 to serve the Labour Movement and other organisations who engage, support and provide programmes around sexual harassment and oppression.

Aims of SHEP

Eliminating sexual harassment in the workplace
Eliminating bias in the workplace and the justice system
Enabling working women to gain access to justice in issues of sexual harassment and gender relations.

SHEP wants to engage with other because we believe that cross-fertilization of ideas is the only way that any organisation can grow bigger and stronger.

Sorry, I got carried away.

So come on sisters, meet the sisters in South Africe and share your culture, ideas and experience with us.

Not to be really depressing.....but I must tell all of you....that right now is not a great time in my life....the reason being that on April 14 is my parents anniversary...its the first one without my mom....then Mother's day is the day last year that I last talked to my mom before she passed on....the day she did pass on was May 17.....and the last one is May 19 the day that last year if my mom had survived her surgeries or didnt have any health problems she was to visit my family

I dont want to rain on anyone's parade....but if I seem a bit different......I hope this explains it.....I know that some of you have been thru this already and some many years but its my first.....I just ask that you understand and I will do my best to be not so down in the mouth. I will say this on the positive note

if it wasn't for some of you being the way you are and helping thru that time after her death....I am not sure what kind of state of mind I would be in now....((((((((Roomies)))))))) thank you for being my chat room friends and being there when i needed it. Do me one thing and have a great day. If your Mom is alive make sure she knows how important she is to you on Mother's day, even if she annoys you at times.LOL
