Tips for losing weight

Hey everyone?I have been on a diet lately and I wanted to share my progress with everyone. Sometimes it can be hard to keep it up and I thought this would be a good place to get support. I have lost 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks and I?m super excited about it. My goal is to lose about 15-20 pounds. I?ve just increased my exercise from 3 days a week to 4-5 days and I added some pilates and strength sessions, too. I changed from eating 2-3 large meals a day to eating 4-5 small meals and snacks throughout the day. I think that really helped my metabolism take off. I also have been choosing healthier snacks like fruits and veggies. But when I really need a sweet, sometimes I?ll have some of those low-carb chocolates or a sugar-free jello. And of course, I switched to diet soda. But I drink less soda all together and try to drink tons more water than I ever used to. Anyway, these are the things that have been helping me. Let me know if any of you have more tips to add? Thanks!

There's a new diet I'm trying called Chef's Diet! You should check it out.

I love it, the food is delicious and perfectly portioned. Plus I mix it with a routine of running and do pilates at home. I love the results I'm getting so far.

LOL (((((((( PoohsBigSister ))))))))) Gotcha!

Thanks (((((( Buttercupgal1 ))))))

I will check out that Chef's Diet though. Never hurts to look for good recipes. I am mainly on the look out for ones that are diabetic without losing the flavor!

Have a great day!

Here's my suggestion, don't eat potatoes. The starch turns into the muffin top.

That's my problem...starch, but I so love potaoes/pasta/bread. I have become more aware of how much starch I'm eating and trying to cut back on it.

Smartest thing to do is cut down the size or portion. You need all of the various things like starches and etc to be healthy but just make the portion size smaller. I know it worked for me. Getting back on track this time is easier plus getting rid of frustrations is good as well.

Ladies if there was a magic formula diet or a wonder pill out there that really worked there would be no more fat people.
So the answer is no diet works unless you stick to it life long ...No pill will just melt away the pounds while we stuff our faces.

The answer to it all is eat less, move more, avoid junk food..
A diet is not about dress size its about life..A good diet can extend your life and help you enjoy better health.

Stop buying into the snake oil peddelers and their magic cures..

Alexwright1971...I lost weight prior to becoming a Type 2 diabetic. Then became one. Needless to say, some can jog and avoid junk food. Yet I didnt get overweight by being lazy or eating junk food. So how do you lose weight when you crave those bad decadent things. By eating in moderation. By the way, My weight gain was thru 3 pregnancies that I had toxemia aka preeclamsia (sp?). Now I do want to lose more weight, however being a diabetic makes it much harder. What worked before isnt working now. So far no help from the doctors or anyone. SO again I hope to figure out what I have to do to get where I want too. Just letting you. Have a great day!

I do exercise but working right now with not a bit much time to exercise so I do walk my dogs. I do drink water, and control my diet I am a Type 2 diabetic. I eat raw veggies or steamed. I dont do cholesterol and fatty foods any more. Eat lots of fresh fruit just have to watch out for the ones who spike my blood sugars. Cant have fruit juices most are filled with lots of sugar. I cant drink Green tea its a diruetic for me. Lastly I do fish oil daily. So I do know what to do but its not working anymore. Thank you
