Activities For Kids

As summertime approaches, this might be a good time to have ready a whole bunch of fun things for kids to do!

Do you have an activity that your kids enjoy that you can share with others? It can be a craft, or a game, or any activity that can head off the: "I'm bored...there's nothing to do" blues!

A really easy project for kids is to color their shoe laces.

You will need:
- white flat laces
- a variety of permanent colored markers
- tape
- waxed paper or a grocery bag

1. Cover the work surface
2. Tape the lace down at both ends to
prevent it from moving around.
3. Have the kids make patterns of
lines, squiggles, dots, circles
4. When the first side is dry, they
can do the other side.

Leave the plastic tips uncolored as it may rub off.

I saw this idea in a crafting magazine, but I can't recall which one.

I'm excited for the summer and even more exciting for my family since my son will be going to his first ever summer camp.

I'm so excited for him and at the same time nervous, but I'm sure he'll learn a lot and have tons of fun. He'll get to meet new friends and do a lot of outdoor activities. Can't for the news he'll bring when he comes back.
