Beans Beans Are Good For....
This is my late mom's recipe.... It's Green Beans with Salt Pork.....
So good so southern... so depression era. Fresh green beans broke.... Salt pork... Fry up salt pork until the fat is somewhat transluscent (sp) Put a bit of water in what you have fried.. Throw broke green beans... Let them cook covered for about 45 (medium heat) Take lid off... let the juice cook down.. and they are so so so good! Just jane |
