Is there anything you simply can't miss on television every week? Which programs are a part of your life and which have you diving for the remote control at the merest hint of their theme music?

I try not to miss E.R., which I've watched since the first season. Earlier this season, I thought the scripts were lame, but they seem to have improved.

I have to confess, though, I didn't like Lucy much and wasn't too sorry to see her go. For awhile, Carter bugged me, but I like him again. Luca is gorgeous.

And, of course, it's cool to see Chicago!

Everybody Loves Raymond; NYPD Blues; ER; Third Watch
In that order. I think that Raymond is one of the funniest dysfunctional family comedies on TV, what a cast. My husband hates Patricia Heaton which makes me love it even more. (mybad)

Gilmore Girls, The Practice, Stargate, Judging Amy, Family Law -- I'd have to say those are my favorites. I also watch a lot of WB shows with my daughter. Often they're not shows *I* particularly care for, but she does and so we cuddle while we watch together.

Has anyone watched That's Life on Saturday night? I thought it was the most whiney, obnoxious show I'd seen in some time when it first came on. Of course, my 12 year old liked it, which meant we watched it.

I do think it's starting to get better now, though.

Our TV self destructed about 2 months ago and we haven't gotten a new one, so I'm not watching a whole lot of anything. I also don't have cable TV. I have cable internet, but no cable TV. Priorities ya know <g>

It's fair. Not exactly gripping.

I guess I'd rather watch the real thing.

Maybe, since I know most of this stuff already, it doesn't seem eye-opening. For people who think Judy Garland was a happy-go-lucky type (would there be such people?), I suppose it would be more enlightening.

I think the woman playing Judy is doing a bang up job actually. I remember the days of live tv and Judy showing up tipsy for her acts. She was carried off the stage in Baltimore before she fell off. She had a sad life and I think the tv show has established where she was coming from. Even though she had a sad life, she made a lot of bad choices too and much of her pain could have been averted. I think the show is representing all that quite well. But lest we forget, it's only TV folks. We watched a much better movie that was on earlier on Lifetime I can't remember what it was called - Skeletons something, with Lou Gossett about a young black boy 14 who was executed for a crime he didn't commit. Lou Gosset played his brother and came back as an adult to clear his brothers name and solve the crime. Good flick.

I think the young girl was more convincing so far than the older woman.

And yeah, I think she's getting the details right, what I was saying is, no surprises so far.

And I think the worst choice was giving a kid drugs to keep her thin and energetic.

Yikes!! That is the worst thing you can do to a female to help her keep thin. I would know.

I love Judging Amy. I hear the Gilmore Girls is really good and someone says it is a "must watch" for me and my daughter. I was a young single mom and work in a hotel. Okay, so I guess I need to watch it, eh?

I love Ally McBeal. It has it's good episodes and it's awful ones. I miss Robert Downey Jr already. The character was perfect and needed. And he acted it perfectly. Something is gonna have to give on this for me to get crazy about it again. Although Anne Heche is doing a great job and cracking me up..<G>

Will and Grace. My favorite, favorite, favorite. The cast is phenomenal. I adore them and the show.

The Soprano's third season starts on Sunday! The first season was incredible, the second very good, and now, it's almost time to see how the 3rd season goes! I'm ready!

Law and Order 3 times a night!!! How can you beat that?
Chances are, if you are in my house we are watching one or the other. I have both channels programming schedule commited to memory so that at any given point in time during the weekday, I can tell you exactly which show is on..and can probably tell you which episode

Will and Grace is my daughters fav. I don't get HBO, so I don't get to see Sopranos when it airs. My boss tapes it though, so I get to watch it a little later than everyone else. This season is supposed to be awesome. I have cracked up at some of the episodes of Sex and the City. I may have to break down and order HBO. *sigh*

Did anyone see that cool comedy last night that was on all the channels...it was this squinty-eyed guy who kept pursing his lips while telling these horrendous lies, and the audience kept clapping and standing up. It was weird! I didn't catch the name of the show.

I watch a lot of TV these days <sigh>. I knew we shouldn't have gotten cable!

Reruns of Babylon 5 (new stuff to us as we didn't have cable when they did season 5, so this is the only thing I really "schedule" to watch. I figure all the rest will be around again as re-runs.)

Boston Public, Roswell (I'm trying to get ahold of the book series without spending a ton of money), Dark Angel, Seven Days, Star Trek Voyager (will there be another star trek when this one's over?), Charmed (cute, and at least the witches are "good" though they get a lot of it wrong), Farscape, The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne (only sometimes, as my husband doesn't like it much), Relic Hunter, The Immortal (mostly for Lorenzo Lamas, though they shouldn't let him do his own hokey intro), Andromeda,
X-Files.

We watched the Sci-Fi channel's showing of "The Day After" last night. It looked really old. I don't remember it being so BORING the first time!
