When we decided to organize our crafts, we bought clear plastic shoe boxes with lids. We labeled the ends so that we knew what was in each tote.
Then there's the large 30 gallon totes of material and larger crafts, stuff to make photo albums and scrapbooks. |

I found a really cute baby blanket pattern that only takes 3 scans of yarn and it's like a modified granny square. 11 down and 9 across. It's pretty and looks like lace. I started one for my new granddaughter but with my hands I had to stop. I hope if the doc finally gets my meds figured, I'll be able to finish it.

It seems that everyone I know has ended up with knitted blankets and scarves. One Christmas, I gave my mom a blanket out of blue, purple and deep maroon...Really beautiful colors. My sister immediately informed me she'd love it if I'd make one for my niece for the following year using the same yarn. Guess she figured I'd forget, because she was totally blown away when niece got the blanket the following year.
I now have three HUGE bags of yarn from the now closed Ben Franklin...My last purchase there filled a bag that looks about the size of a 30-gallon garbage bag. By that time, everything in the store was 1/2-off...and I still parted with $75! Now I know that I'll be making blankets for everyone! |

Tell you what, PBS, I'll try to get around to taking a picture of one of the blankets and post it here. And, yes, that was a good deal. One of my sons was with me when we passed the "50% off" signs in the window. When I immediately headed into the store, he wasn't sure whether to laugh or cringe.

My stash has beads and crochet cotton in it. And I DON'T do Beading or crocheting: I want to weave the cotton (on an inkle loom) and add beads in. So far I am weaving the cotton..... but we are progressing.

Let's see. I only get crafty from time to time so I have some yarn, super glue, scrapbook, colored paper, paint, pearls, etc.
