What is in your stash?

Hello everyone

If you knit,crochet, needlepoint, sew, craft, paint, cross stitch, embroider , do ceramics....whatever is your passion
we all tend to add things to our stash.
There are those who would say we hoard.
I prefer to think of it as required ingredients/inspirations in our creative pursuits.

What is in your stash right now, that is providing creative inspiration that is not yet being used?

I have been stashing away embroidery floss. I want to have all the colors so that when inspiration hits, I'll be ready.

I also have been stashing away all types and sizes of seed beads for both on and off loom techniques.

Happy stashing and may your creative inspirations continue to grow.

My "stash" is in a 600 square foot warehouse! LOL!!

* 3500 ceramic molds
* 2 kilns
* 400+ bottles of paint
* Tons of things I've been meaning to paint, but haven't been inspired to yet <g>
* An old steamer trunk/treasure chest full of fabric remnants, patterns, knitting needles, and crochet hooks
* Boxes of yarn
* A sewing machine
* Boxes upon boxes of lace, beads, thread, feathers, light kits, music boxes, and other goodies

My stash also includes bunches of things I've painted, but can't figure out what to do with yet

I am a PROUD HOARDER! <g>

My stash is patterns. I have x-stitch, knitting, crocheting, macrame, jewelry, etc. You name it and I have a pattern for it. As a matter of fact, I can't think of a craft that I don't have at least one pattern for and some of them are crafts I haven't tried yet.

Paint brushes and sketch pads of all sizes! I'm addicted to them. I also have plaster, clay, wax for molds, sculpting tools, yards and yards of plastic sheeting to protect my environment when I am tossing plaster, chicken wire, and every drawing supply you can think of.

/me races over to check out the stashes of Tammy, mickey and Terri.

Don't you just love all that stuff?! And...when the creative ideas are really flowing...don't you find you start thinking about other uses? So, 10 years has gone by since you intended to make thus and such and now, you don't like what you were going to make. BUT...you can't possibly throw it out because it might be able to be used in this project, or that project.

And, even though nothing has left the stash...a trip to the Arts or Crafts or Fabric store is a must. The stuff in the stash is old. It needs some brand new gadget or supply or material.

clipping threads! (ya just can't use big old all purpose scissors for
that, now, can you?)

/me piles everything back. <sigh>

rofl anti! I probably took it out of that container to put it someplace I could find it! I still haven't found it. Must be in one of the other containers of artsy/craftsy stuff.

anti, I collect inspirational pictures for future use for paintings also. I get them from magazines, cards, calendars etc. These too have to be organized yet in some sort of way I can find them. I'm thinking a file folder system by subject would work: flowers, animals, people. Some of the pictures I've saved have now been tossed out because I found that they no longer were to my liking. Others I'm keeping and hopefully can get around to painting some day.

Well rumor has it that the Mice in their love for you have spirited the hot glue gun away to the upper hall closet. They hope to recreate a Pumpkin Carriage in miniture for your Christmas tree. So you may need to shop for another one.

Funny thing... just realized my glue gun is 12 years old. Guess I'll be shopping too lol.
