Hello David, and welcome to WOW. I personally would recommend something from the Cannon or Nikon lines. And as to which one, well that really depends on alot of different factors... Shutter speed, picture quality (# of pixels, the greater the# the better the quality), zoom capability. Digital cameras can range in price from like $90-$8000. For a first time camera buyer I would suggest something in the $200-$400 range, something in this price range usually works well for the average user. Hope this helps.
